Burhanuddin Khan Jahangir

Burhanuddin Khan Jahangir was born in Chandpur, Bangladesh in the year 1936. He was educated in Dhaka and received a doctoral degree in Anthropology from the University of Durham in 1976. Currently, he is the Pro-Vice Chancellor of the National University. He is also the Director of the Centre for Social Studies, and edits the two quarterly journals published from the Centre: The Journal of Social Studies in English and Samaj Nirikkhan in Bangla. B K Jahangir, art critic, looks at Quamrul Hassan to explore his visions and makes us feel their vibrations. B K Jahangir is also known as a poet, story writer and essayist. This book is a tribute from a writer to a painter of genius. His other books, published by ICBS is on Zainul Abedin, Bangladesh's most influential painter.
