Munaz Ahmed Noor

Dr. Munaz Ahmed Noor, is a professor in the Civil Engineering Department at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Dhaka. He received BSc degree in Civil Engineering and MSc in Structural Engineering from BUET in 1995 and 1997, respectively. He was awarded University Gold Medal for best academic performance. Earlier he was awarded the Presidential Gold Medal for securing first position in the combined merit list of the HSC examination. He was awarded a scholarship by the Asian Development Bank to study civil engineering at the University of Tokyo, Japan, where he received his Ph.D in 2000. During the past decade, he participated in numerous earthquake and concrete material related private and public projects. He contributed to and conducted many seminars and short courses on earth quake engineering and concrete technology in Bangladesh.
